
St. Brigid

St. Brigid (Bridget, or Bríd in Gaelic), celebrated February 1 NS/14 OS, is one of the most important saints in Ireland. Also known as "Mary of the Gael," she was a contemporary of St. Patrick and renowned for her devotion to God and kindness to the poor.
